Completely hygienic and simpler than you might think. Rinse off any solids, then machine wash on a warm cycle (40°C) with your regular detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener as these can reduce absorbency over time. Tumble dry on a low setting or air dry. The high wash temperature eliminates bacteria and odour. We recommend owning at least two pads so you always have a clean one ready while the other is in the wash.

For a single dog with regular use, a wash every 2–3 days keeps it fresh and fully absorbent. After heavy soiling, wash it the same day. The more frequently you wash it, the longer it maintains its absorbency and the better it controls odour. A quick rinse under the tap between washes is also a great habit.

We have three sizes to suit every dog and if you are not sure, Medium is almost always the right answer.

Small (40×60cm / 16×24") is ideal for toy and small breeds such as Chihuahuas, Maltese, Shih Tzus, Pugs, and Dachshunds. Perfect for crates, small apartments, or dogs who are already well-trained and consistent with their aim.

Medium (70×80cm / 28×32") suits most dogs — Cavoodles, Spaniels, French Bulldogs, Beagles, Labradors, and Golden Retrievers all land comfortably in this range. It is also the best choice for puppies of any breed, since they are still learning and need the extra surface area. If you are unsure, this is the one to get.

Large (80×90cm / 32×35") is built for big dogs, seniors, and the hard cases. If your dog is a German Shepherd, Border Collie, Husky, or larger breeds, go Large. If your senior dog is a little uncoordinated and misses the mark sometimes, go Large. If your dog is stubborn, easily distracted, or just takes a while to get things right, go Large. More surface area means fewer accidents on the floor while they are learning.

Still not sure? Choose Medium. It works for the vast majority of dogs and is our most popular size by a wide margin. You can always size up later, but most customers find Medium is exactly what they needed.

Not if you follow the washing routine. WagglePad's four-layer construction locks moisture away from the surface, which is the main cause of odour with cheaper pads.
